Accommodation does not include evening meal but there is a great pub/restaurant almost opposite Greendene Farmhouse. Plus lots of pubs/restaurants near Neals Farm.

There are some wonderful self catering cottages in the Village.
The 'Alms Houses' are opposite our Studio and everyone says how lovely they are to stay in.

The Studio is in a Conservation area, near the famous Mapledurham Watermill and in the shadow of the historic Mapledurham House.
Many artists come for the week or weekend with their partners or family - who are non painters. There is plenty to do for non-painters. SEE BELOW.

OTHER AREAS
We are near, Ascot (the races), Windsor (the races, Legoland web site, Windsor Castle web site ) Henley (river Thames, Henley Regatta,) Bracknell (good swiming pool- web site) Reading (Beale Park - web site) and there are lots of things to do - if you want to come with a non-painting partner or children. London is only 30 minutes away by train to Paddington.
There is a very excellent Health Spa called Nirvana - twenty minutes from us - web site - often frequented by one of our artists (we must pay her too much!) You can get massages and treatments or just lounge in one of their very many pools.
FANTASTIC WALKS
Mapledurham is a well known area for walkers and cyclists - there are a number of tow paths and special walks. It is very beautiful scenery and you can walk to Pangbourne.
