Arrive 9.45-10.0am Refreshments in the upstairs lounge. Meet your fellow artists. Introduction to JoeDaisy Studio and your Professional Artist.

10.00am Paints, brushes and equipment. KNOW YOUR EQUIPMENT. An overview, explanation and comparison of products. Every artist has their own space with professional easel, painting table and hi stool. ALL YOUR PROFESSIONAL ART MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED.

10.15am Caroline shows you how famous artists created 'their style' We paint in acrylic for the first session. Caroline shows you how to prepare your canvas for painting. How to develop your 'concept' with examples of paintings and their 'styles' from famous artists - giving you an understanding of concepts and style. Caroline shows you how the famous artists painted and how they 'created their styles'. You paint along.

11.30am. Decide on your 'concept' which interprets the photographic inspiration. You all work from THE SAME INSPIRATION to create a painting - in your own style and interpretation. DO NOT WORRY. Caroline takes you through everything, carefully, accurately and concisely.

12.15am Critiques and guessing your concepts.

12.30am Buffet Lunch in the UpstairsLounge We cater for vegetarians and any special dietary requirements. During the day, there is a coffee machine, tea, herbal drinks, soft drinks, bottled water and wine available - along with nibbles and you are encouraged to make the Studio 'your home' for the weekend i.e take rests whenever you want to, walk around, look at the art books, look at the paintings and prints in the Gallery, sit and chat etc. We want you to feel as if you are at home but with the added bonus of every top quality Professional art material and facility you could desire!

1.30pm Caroline takes you through 'Concepts' in more detail. Caroline talks about your 'inspirations' and 'concepts' and how to create a series of works to establish 'Your Style'

This is called 'Storybook 6' and is one of a series of 22 paintings (all sold) based on the concept of 'Painting Like a Child' - taking the essence of children's paintings - primary colour, graffiti (children usually put words on their paintings), jumble, drips and empty space. An EXAMPLE of 'Developing Your Style' and working with concepts in a series of works.

2.0pm Comparative Analysis. (All will be explained). You are painting two paintings now.

4.30pm Discussion about tomorrows 'big' painting. You prepare your canvas.

5.0pm Day Ends - with instructions on how to think about your concept for tomorrow's painting.

COURSE PROGRAMME - SUNDAY

Arrive 9.30am Start your painting (after we have discussed your concept and how it can be interpreted). You can work in acrylic, oils (providing you have some experience in oils) or mixed media. Caroline gives you personal attention/development.

12.30pm Buffet Lunch in the Upstairs Lounge

3.00 ASSESSMENT AND CHAT - Caroline and your fellow artists critique your paintings and 'guess' your concept - which means if you have created a great painting - we can tell you what your idea or concept was!.

3.30 pm Day Ends

EXTENDED WEEKEND - MONDAY

9.0am Arrive, Carry on painting your picture from yesterday or start another. We supply you with another canvas - so if you don't use it - take it home! Another day is actually just what the doctor ordered! You are feeling totally at home in your space and the Studio feels as if you have been here for weeks!

We also have some time to explain how to make your own canvases on this day.

12.30pm Lunch

4.0pm Day ends.

This weekend course is a 'Develop Your Style' course with the emphasis on your 'Concepts' and developing a series of works based on 'Your Style'. Caroline covers all the basics to compose harmonious art works but places emphasis on 'mental thinking'. You also paint on a 'hand made canvas' - so serious painting! AND an exclusive opportunity to use top quality professional materials with tuition from an exceptionally talented and capable professional artist. WHO DOES NOT IMPOSE HER WILL ON YOU!! BUT ENCOURAGES THE ARTIST IN YOU!
